U.S. Congressman Estes to speak 2024 Manufacturing Summit

Topeka, KAN. – TOPEKA, KAN. – U.S. Congressman Ron Estes will share the latest manufacturing policy news from the federal government at the 2024 Kansas Manufacturing Summit, the Kansas Manufacturing Council announced Tuesday.

Kansas Chamber VP of Government Affairs Eric Stafford will provide updates about manufacturing policy and regulations from Kansas state government.

The seventh annual Summit happens on October 8th and 9th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Wichita.

The summit is open to all Kansas manufacturers and any business that supports the state’s manufacturing industry, as well as anyone interested in learning more about the industry. Attendees will leave armed with the latest economic, hiring and policy news to be an employer of choice and streamline operations for excellence.

Keynote speakers for this year’s summit are HR expert Chris Czarnik and economist Dr. Mary Kelly.

Dr. Mary Kelly, a renowned economist and former naval intelligence officer, will provide an economic forecast and discuss how manufacturers can navigate post-2024 election changes and economic uncertainty to safeguard their bottom lines.

Chris Czarnik, a former military officer and career coach, will discuss transforming talent acquisition and using new strategies to recruit, retain, and develop great employees.

The summit also will provide attendees opportunities to network, meet with industry suppliers, and learn about manufacturing resources and industry trends.

The summit is part of the month-long celebration of National Manufacturing Month and is led by the Kansas Manufacturing Council, in partnership with Kansas Manufacturing Solutions and the Kansas Chamber.
