Eric Stafford was named President & CEO of the Kansas Chamber in March 2026, after joining the organization’s government affairs team in 2011.
As President & CEO, Eric leads the Chamber’s strategy, operations, membership and advocacy teams on behalf of Kansas employers. He works with business leaders, policymakers and stakeholders across the state to collaborate and advance policies that strengthen the Kansas economy and make the state more competitive for jobs and investment.
Previously, as Vice President of Government Affairs, Eric directed the Chamber’s policy and advocacy efforts on pro-business legislation, with a focus on workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, immigration, health care, tort reform, tax policy, government efficiency, the state budget and legal reform.
Prior to joining the Kansas Chamber, Eric served as the Director of Government Affairs for the Associated General Contractors of Kansas for six years. With AGC, Eric represented and lobbied on behalf of the commercial building construction industry. He also oversaw AGC’s communications and public relations efforts.
Eric earned a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in 2002. He and his wife Shahira live in Topeka and have two children.
