Kansas Chamber Announces Patrick Barnes as Vice President of Investor Relations and Business Development

 

TOPEKA, KAN. May 11, 2026The Kansas Chamber has announced that Patrick Henry Barnes has joined the organization as Vice President of Investor Relations and Business Development.

In this role, Barnes leads the Chamber’s investor engagement and retention strategies, with a focus on cultivating strong stakeholder relationships and driving long‑term revenue growth in support of the Chamber’s pro‑business mission.

Patrick brings a strong background in business development, capital strategy, and relationship building that will be instrumental as we continue to grow and strengthen the Kansas Chamber,” said Eric Stafford, President and CEO of the Kansas Chamber. “His experience and approach align well with our mission to advance policies that support a strong, competitive business climate across Kansas.”

Barnes brings extensive experience in strategic business expansion and capital development. Most recently, he served as Director of Company Development at EMP Shield, Inc., where he managed shareholder communications and led initiatives that raised $2.2 million in capital. His background also includes multi‑state business development and building executive partner relationships across the insurance and service sectors.

At the Kansas Chamber, Barnes oversees investor relations and revenue strategy, working closely with business leaders and stakeholders to advance policies that strengthen the Kansas economy. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for the Midwest Preparedness Project, a regional nonprofit focused on community development and resiliency.
