Patrick Henry Barnes joined the Kansas Chamber in May 2026 as the Vice President of Investor Relations and Business Development. In this role, he leads the Chamber’s investor engagement and retention strategies, focusing on cultivating high-value stakeholder relationships and driving long-term revenue growth to support the organization’s pro-business mission.

 

Throughout his career, Patrick has focused on strategic business expansion and capital development. As Director of Company Development at EMP Shield, Inc., he successfully managed shareholder communications and led initiatives that raised $2.2 million in capital. His background also includes significant experience in multi-state business development and strengthening executive partner relationships within the insurance and service sectors.

 

Today, Patrick oversees the Chamber’s investor relations and revenue strategy, working closely with business leaders and stakeholders to advance policies that strengthen the Kansas economy. He is also the Chairman of the Board for the Midwest Preparedness Project; a regional nonprofit focused on community development and resiliency.

 

Patrick attended Career Point Business School where he focused on obtaining a Business Administration and Accounting degree. He and his wife, Tara, reside in the Grantville area.
