Topeka, KS (May 29, 2019) The Kansas Chamber President and CEO Alan Cobb released the following statement Wednesday regarding the Kansas Legislature’s failed effort to override Gov. Laura Kelly’s veto of House Bill 2033:
“It’s unfortunate that Governor Kelly and so many Kansas lawmakers are unable to understand the competitive disadvantage not decoupling places on our state when so many other states have updated their state tax code to address the changes caused by the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.”
