28 Aug Kansas Chamber Releases 2025 Pro-Jobs Legislator List
TOPEKA, KANSAS, August 28, 2025 – The Kansas Chamber released its 2025 Pro-Jobs Legislator List, a recognition of the legislative champions who supported key issues to spur economic growth, create jobs, and foster a competitive business climate during the 2025 legislative session. The list includes 86 House members and 30 Senators from all geographic regions of the state.
“The Kansas Chamber applauds the Pro-Jobs legislators who voted for a vibrant environment where businesses and individuals can thrive,” said Coleen Jennison, the Kansas Chamber’s Interim President and CEO. “Kansas secured major wins with income tax relief and new health care compacts. These measures strengthen our workforce by expanding licensure reciprocity and ensuring greater access to care for Kansans.”
The Kansas Chamber develops its Pro-Jobs Legislator List based on the legislators’ support of the Kansas Chamber legislative agenda, aimed at creating jobs and growing the Kansas economy. In 2025, the Kansas Chamber focused on four key issues: legal reform, lowering health care costs, improving energy affordability, and reducing the tax burden. The Chamber advanced legislation modeled after North Carolina and West Virginia, where growth triggers are used to gradually reduce income tax rates as state revenues rise.
“The dedication of the Kansas Chamber Pro-Jobs legislators made this a monumental year for smart policy that will drive job growth and make Kansas a better place to build a business,” said Eric Stafford, the Kansas Chamber Vice President of Government Affairs. “The Pro-Jobs legislators looked out for the interests of Kansans struggling with ever-increasing insurance costs as they took on trial attorneys and international hedge funds that wanted to profit from job-destroying litigation. These Pro-Job legislators have delivered huge wins that will increase the take-home pay for all Kansans.”
