17 May Kansas Chamber Welcomes Amy Billquist as VP of Communications & Events
TOPEKA, KAN. — The Kansas Chamber is pleased to announce Amy Billquist has joined its executive leadership team as Vice President of Communications and Events. In this role, Billquist will oversee all Kansas Chamber events, lead the organization’s communications strategy, support the Leadership Kansas program, and serve as liaison to the Kansas Chamber Board of Directors.
“Amy has been a trusted partner of the Chamber for many years, and we are thrilled to welcome her officially to the team,” said Alan Cobb, President and CEO of the Kansas Chamber. “Her experience, professionalism, and deep understanding of our mission make her a tremendous asset as we continue to grow our impact across the state.”
Billquist has collaborated with the Kansas Chamber since 2018 on a wide range of initiatives including the Kansas Manufacturing Council, Leadership Kansas, Kansas Emerging Leaders, and several of the Chamber’s signature events. She brings more than 15 years of experience in project management, operational strategy, and association leadership.
In 2007, Billquist founded her own consulting firm focused on association management and strategic operations. She also serves as the Executive Director of the Association of State Chamber Professionals (ASCP), a national organization that supports state chamber staff through professional development and peer collaboration.
Billquist began her career in public service, moving to Kansas from Missouri to serve as a police officer. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and earned her Master of Business Administration while working in law enforcement and launching her consulting business.
